The Square in front of the Blackheads House in Riga
Title:
The Square in front of the Blackheads House in Riga
St.Peter's Church was first mentioned in 1209. The tower and front part was built from 15th -18th centuries. The outstanding monument of Mannerism age is Melngalvju nams (the House of Blackheads) - oldest public building in Riga. The true House of Blackheads was destroyed in 1941and the present building was just recently rebuilt. Knights Roland statue in front of the house is a duplicate too.
